Hey, Coach Risley here and this week is all about helping you understand how you can kick aging’s ass.
It’s funny, social media does really have a way of making us seem like we have expiration dates. I mean to an extent we kind of do but at the same time, it’s not as crazy as people make it sound.
Even around our social circles, we hear that once we turn 25 for some reason everything starts slowing down and everything aches, you can only imagine people sounding like a broken record during their mid ages.
Yes just like everything it’s a multi-factorial problem, aging can be a small part of the problem but it’s most likely not the case. The reasons why your knees ache or your back hurts are more likely due to the reasons listed below:
You just don’t move as much anymore, and I know I repeat myself a lot, but if you don’t use it, you will really lose it. How can you be strong somewhere if you never train it anymore?
You don’t care as much anymore. I don’t blame you, you do have more responsibilities and more stress as you age, so naturally something like fitness can be something we end up ignoring. If you truly do care about your health you will start slowly making digestible changes towards your lifestyle.
These are the two biggest factors that truly decide if you age gracefully or not, one is working on the physical aspect and the other is working on the mental aspect. Both aim to increase your capacity to enjoy your life more, so you can be that rocking grandpa or grandma enjoying life to the fullest even in old age.

Hopefully reading this has helped you understand a new perspective on aging gracefully, start communicating with someone about what you want and start setting out a suitable roadmap for you to enjoy the finer things in life. Be strong and live long!
