Hey Coach Risley here, injuries can be a pain in the ass but I’m here to help you find a deeper understanding of this today. This all starts with understanding yourself a little bit better.
The two biggest reasons why we find ourselves in these positions are mainly due to over usage of muscles or under usage of muscles. A.k.a. you’re either doing too much to recover from or doing too little so you can’t keep up with the demands you put yourself through either way.
This post is specifically talking about doing too little. We often find ourselves in positions where we unintentionally neglect things, especially the movements that will help us stay away from injury.
A great example of this is things like working the lower back, the hips, and also just our lower body in general. We neglect these groups because they’re hard to train. Sometimes we need to really understand the value they can bring us to start enjoying this process a little bit more. Lower back problems, hip replacements, and knee problems are super prevalent in the social circles we live in today. That really comes as no surprise, your best friends or maybe even your next-door neighbor is probably dealing with one of these issues right now.

The process goes like this, can training these neglected body parts provide value to your life? If so can this value start helping expand the amount of capabilities you can do within your lifestyle? Ask yourself these questions and you'll likely come up with the same answer as me which is that training these neglected body parts most certainly provide value to your life and will help expand your capabilities! I’m glad we’re on the same page. You have just found your reason to start enjoying this process. You might not be the greatest at these movements at first, but give them a few weeks and you might just surprise yourself with how much you can actually enjoy moving more!
As always, I’m here to answer any questions you may have! Make sure to start moving more and become a healthier version of yourself every single day.
