The Journey To Happiness: Your Guide To Self Confidence.

Risley Tang

Coach here, and today we're diving into the very important topic of self-confidence. I know it sounds a little bit corny, but trust me, this is truly something we all need to work on. Feeling comfortable in our own skin is what brought a lot of us here in the first place. That being said, true self-confidence goes far beyond just our appearances, it’s about understanding our identity.

I like to describe self-confidence in layers, the first layer often revolves around our looks and physique. While it’s something that is great to have, It’s also very superficial and not something we can depend on to help us grow. We need to dig deeper.

The next layer can be described as our capabilities, while this is not as superficial, Recognizing our progress and achievements in the gym is a very great and motivating factor to keep getting better. However, it is still not quite the core of what we need to work on. It's time to uncover the core of self-confidence.

The last layer is true self-confidence, acknowledging a deep understanding of why we do the things we do, in this case, the gym. It's about understanding why we are drawn to this activity and what it means to us on a personal level. Learning why we actually love doing this activity will not only help us achieve higher physical capabilities as a byproduct but also attain a dream physique without stressing over our self-image.

Hey, by the way, I wanted to let you know that I recently started a podcast with some friends. We talk about how we approach life and training with all different types of people. We shoot the shit and debunk misinformation, and share valuable insights. The podcast will be available this Friday on Spotify, so keep an eye on my Instagram story for the link. I'd love for you to tune in and join the conversation!

Remember, self-confidence is a journey, and it's one that we all embark on at our own pace. Embrace the process, and don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to chat or discuss anything further.
