Hey! Coach Risley here and today I’m going over the benefits that strength training can have for your mental health.
It’s you. Strength training is all about improving yourself because there is only one way to get better, and that’s putting in the work. This is great for your mental toughness learning how to overcome challenges and literally grow into a better version of yourself every day. If I were to give myself a piece of advice when I was younger, it’s to keep moving forward no matter what.
Here are the two main reasons I believe strength training would have a positive effect on everyone's lifestyle:
Increased lean body mass and physical capabilities.
Look good, do good, and feel good right? Not only will strength training help you physically look better but even more importantly it’ll help you do more activities like hopping over something or lifting your niece & nephew up with ease. With an expanded lifestyle, being able to move around easier and be more athletic surely opens up a world of opportunities for you to feel confident about yourself.
Low barrier entry.
The most beautiful thing about this is that anyone can do it, you don’t have to qualify to become a certified badass in strength training. The world of strength accepts anyone and everyone as long as they’re ready to be better, no team or partner is required; it’s quite literally you vs you every single time.
I wholeheartedly believe everyone on this planet would see a positive effect on their lifestyle with some form of strength training. If you are one of those people ready to join this side, let’s have a chat and start you on this journey to becoming a better you.
